Each ceramic object starts with a block of raw clay
.
The vessel is then carefully molded by hand or by wheel. It is then dried slowly to a leathery state and burnished. After being fully dried out it makes it’s way into the kiln for the first firing. Once the vessel is fired a specially formulated glaze is applied. The vessel is then fired for a second and final time. The medium requires patience as each step can take days to reach completion. After the last firing, the object comes out shining with glaze and ready to be loved.
